Base 33 Youth Charity – Brief for an Interim Chief Executive Officer
Our present CEO, Claire Dowan, leaves us on 5 April 2016 having been recruited as CEO of a substantially larger charity
We require an Interim CEO for a period of up to 4 months to allow the trustees to consider how best to replace Claire and to effect that recruitment.
It is envisaged that the role would, initially, require 3 days a week but after a few weeks might reduce a little. There might be a need for limited amount of evening work.
We would wish the Interim Project Director to focus on two particular facets of our work. These are: * supporting and managing our 3 Youth Workers to ensure that our front line service delivery continues to provide Base 33’s normal services. This would include weekly case review meetings and ‘one to ones’ with each of them * maintaining our various fundraising activities, particularly, identifying possible sources of funds and making bid applications to major funding bodies so as to ensure the continuance of Base 33
Base 33 is an established charity with a turnover of £170,000 providing support to troubled young people in crisis in West Oxfordshire. It has been recognised in recent years as Oxfordshire Charity of the Year, and West Oxfordshire Business Awards Charity of the Year. A daily rate plus any necessary expenses will be paid.
Skills and experience required:
* Previous experience of both Youth Work and leading a team of Youth Workers
* Knowledge of the third sector
* Compiling funding bid applications
