Following on from last years extremely successful pilot One-Eighty have now opened their exciting educational summer programme to up to 16 young people for Summer 2016 for just £300 for each young person over the whole project.
Who is the Summer Project for?
The Summer Project is for young people who you’ve seen improvement during term time in terms of behaviour and/or educational achievement but you’re nervous this success will drop or even disappear over the summer break. These might be your vulnerable learners, your LAC students, or students from disadvantaged families.
We’re accepting referrals now for children aged 8-16. Any needs and behaviour can be supported by the project staff team.
What happens on the One-Eighty’s Summer Project?
Children on the Summer Project pick from a set of educational trips that they can attend over the course of the summer. Following these trips they will have a 1-1 follow-up session with a designated mentor where they can review what they learnt. We also check in to make sure the family is supported; to make sure the summer break is as stable as possible for the young people. At the end of the summer the referrer receives a full report of the curriculum goals each young person has achieved.
When will the Summer Project run?
The sessions will take place once a week, over a four-week period. A timetable will be included in the report. Lunch is always provided.
