We will be starting the Level 4/5 in Playwork in October. This is the last ‘funded’ cohort of learners for this qualification.
This qualification provides the in-depth information about the role of the Level 4/5 playworker when working with children and young people between the ages of 4 to 16. It also delivers the higher level knowledge and skills needed when leading practice and managing staff in a playwork setting. This includes developing professional practices, building relationships and personal development. Learners will be able to identify and use relevant understanding, methods and skills to address broadly-defined, complex problems. It includes taking responsibility for planning and developing courses of action for yourself and others. You also need to understand different perspectives, approaches or schools of thought and the reasoning behind them.
Who is it suitable for?
Playworkers who have a wide knowledge and understanding of children and young people and a deep appreciation of playwork principles and practice.
