The CAG Project is recruiting. This is an excellent opportunity to support one of the largest networks of its kind in the UK, at the forefront of community led climate change action. We are looking for someone with good communication skills, experience of promotion/publicity work and event coordination, as well as a commitment to low carbon behaviour and developing the role of the community sector.
Role: CAG Project Officer
Salary: £20,500-£25,000 (pro rata) depending on experience
Hours: 22.5 hours per week including some evening and weekend work.
Location: Based in Central Oxford
The CAG project, managed by Resource Futures and funded by Oxfordshire County Council, is an exemplar community engagement project which has received many awards and accolades within the county and wider across the UK. Resource Futures is committed to helping others to use resources efficiently and effectively; minimising the impact of consumption on the environment now and for the future. The company undertakes research and consultancy as well as delivering practical on the ground community engagement and education work.
Role & Purpose:
To support the Community Action Group (CAG) Project across Oxfordshire. This will focus on the provision of administrative, publicity and communications functions to the project which supports the activities of local communities and over 60 established Community Action Groups around waste and carbon reduction, and related climate change / environmental / social issues. There will also be opportunities for developing skills in community capacity building and development work.
