In a unique event for Banbury, join BBC weatherman and Gardeners’ Question Time presenter PETER GIBBS for a fabulous evening of Antarctic insights including the most incredible images of the polar landscape, animals and scientific settlement.

As a young man in the early 80s, Peter spent two years at a remote British Antarctic base. This year, he went back – accompanied by a BBC team that included Banbury-based journalist Matthew Teller.

In aid of Banbury Young Homelessness Project (BYHP), Peter and Matthew share stories from their journey, following in the footsteps of Scott and Shackleton – and reveal what camping out at -15C really feels like!

Come along to meet them at a reception before and after the event, which will include a Q&A.

There will also be a very special raffle, with plenty of exclusive Antarctic-themed prizes (like this lovely penguin)
