You are warmly invited to the Annual General Meeting of Low Carbon West Oxford which will be held in West Oxford Community Centre on Wednesday 9th November starting at 8pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend the AGM but you need to be a member to vote. You can request a membership application form from me by email, or complete one at the AGM, but applications will first need to be approved by Trustees before membership can be confirmed.
We’re sorry to report that one of our long-standing Trustees, Richard Mann, who has also held the role of Treasurer for the last few years, is standing down at the the AGM. We are therefore looking for a new Trustee, particularly one who could take on the role of Treasurer. If you are interested in becoming a Trustee and would like to find out more about what is involved, please contact us as soon as possible. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else (with their agreement) as a Trustee please complete the attached form and either return it in hard copy to 22 Oatlands Road or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5pm on Friday 4th November. In accordance with our governing document all Trustees must be members of LCWO.
After the AGM business there will be a chance to hear from Chris Church from the local Friends of the Earth group about an issue which is of particular relevance to us locally, namely air quality. As evidence is building up about the impacts of air pollution on health, Chris Church will talk about what it means for residents of West Oxford.
We very much look forward to seeing you on 9th November.
