News from East Oxford Community Association

Dear Community Member,

Thank you for your efforts to spread the word about our still relatively new 50 Plus Club with the result that we have had an encouraging diversity of visitors ‘taking a look’ and we have a steadily growing core group of regulars. The Club has been able to meet every Monday since the Summer break and last Saturday our stall at the East Oxford Farmers Market, covered in simply glorious crocheted blankets and other handiwork made a colourful addition to the other lovely stalls. Many thanks to Elise Benjamin, the returned Market Manager for fitting us in.

This coming Monday, December 5th we have Priscilla and Kath coming to add live music as part of our Real Life Programme at 11am. We will also be having veggie soup and a touch of seasonal fare at 12 noon as well as our usual crafting, board games and opportunities to meet with each other.

There has been many, many requests for a Monday Lunch Club next year and so we will be exploring funding and other aspects of extending our service to meet the need. Our last session in December is Monday 19th.

With all good wishes during these turbulent times,
