30 Years of the Oxford-Leon Link
In the Gallery Corridor, Until the 14 January, 10am-5pm, FREE
This exhibition is the final event in Oxford-Leon Link’s 30th anniversary year. The aim is to celebrate their achievements and those of Oxford’s twin city of Leon, Nicaragua. The exhibition records the relationship between Oxford and Leon and the great changes since 1986. The original twinning was with a post-revolutionary and often violent city. Now there is peace and relative prosperity, however problems of poverty, lack of education and poor health do remain.
