Spring Clean Oxford: Volunteers and Voluntary Groups Wanted to Help

Spring Clean Oxford – Volunteers and Voluntary Groups Wanted to Help

The weekend of March 3-5th will see Volunteers Groups taking part in the OxClean 10th Annual Spring Clean collecting  litter from paths, verges and ‘grot-spots’ across the City of Oxford.

The annual Spring Clean is now firmly on the Oxford’s calendar, with people enjoying coming and working together for a good cause. Last year a wide range of volunteers in more than 80 groups picked up 7 tonnes of litter. This year even more volunteers are needed, could you or your organisation take part, you will have fun and develop your team-building skills as well as cleaning up an unsightly area for the community.

You will also be taking part in a new national project, OxClean has joined with an initiative launched by Keep Britain Tidy, The Great British Spring Clean which will be an annual event taking place across the UK on the same weekend as the OxClean Spring Clean.

To find out how to take part in the OxClean Spring Clean, how to be supplied with litter pickers and hi-vis-vests, plus lots of information about how to safely litter pick plus how to register your group please  visit http://www.oxclean.org.uk/spring-clean/  or telephone 07505 756692.
