Invitation: Rural Oxfordshire Network (RON)

You are invited to the launch event of the Rural Oxfordshire Network (RON).  This networking forum is for those living and working in rural Oxfordshire.  The event will focus on rural crime and community resilience.

The event will be chaired by Julian Cooper

Julian has served on Oxfordshire County Council (2001-2005), West Oxfordshire District Council (1986-2006 then 2010 till the present day) and Woodstock Town Council (since 1984). He has been Chairman of W.O.D.C. Planning committee, Vice-Chairman of the County Council Planning Committee and Mayor of Woodstock three times.  He is currently the English Vice Chairman of the Local Authority World Heritage Forum and has served on the South East Regional Planning Conference, Oxfordshire Community Health Council as well as on the Executive of Community First Oxfordshire.  He is also Chairman of Woodstock Youth Club.  Julian works as a Life Assurance Salesman.

Anyone who is interested in rural affairs whether they are residents, land-owners or run an organisation.

10.00 – 10.05 – Introduction and welcomes from OCVA
10.05 – 10.30 – Key-note speech: Julian Cooper
10.30 – 11.30 – Kath Lowe (Superintendent Kath Lowe, Local Police Area Commander for Cherwell and West Oxfordshire).  A presentation around rural crime and community resilience.
11.30 – 11.45 – break
11.45 – 12.00 – Where next for the Rural Oxfordshire Network including input from OCVA
12.00 – 12.30 – Facilitated discussion lead by OCVA.
12.30 – onwards – networking lunch (BYO)
