Pay rate: £22,000 – £24,000 PA subject to qualifications & experience

Pay is pro rata?: No

Job title: Employability Service Programme Coordinator

Applications close on date: Monday 27th February 2017

Hours are: Full time

Contract is: Fixed term

Job summary: As part of BYHP’s developing strategy in skills, training and employability, we are looking for a new member of staff to coordinate BYHP’s Employability Service Programme, Unlocking Potential and Job Club, as well as developing new elements to respond to the needs of new project deliverables.

The Employability Service is one of BYHP’s three core services and is well placed for growth and further development in the next three years following success in one major consortium project bid with another nearing conclusion.

The successful candidate will be a mix of qualified teacher, programme leader and business networker, someone who will be as at ease with a vulnerable young person as they are with a guest presenter or a potential local employer.

Whilst this is initially a one year fixed contract position, BYHP is working on projects which are anticipated will continue until the end of 2019 and subject to performance and ongoing funding we expect the role to be required until at least 2019.

The intention is that subject to a satisfactory review at the end of the first year, BYHP would hope to be able to extend the term and provide on-going support and training for the candidate to develop their career further within the organisation.

Employability is a core element of BYHP’s future strategy hence we are working on continuing the Service when these projects conclude.
