Job summary: Resource Futures is committed to a vision of everybody using resources sustainably. We are a purpose-driven company which contributes to the communities we work and live in.

We are looking for a passionate and committed person to lead on the development of our community engagement work, including overseeing the Community Action Groups networks in Oxfordshire and Devon. A key part of the role will be focused on developing revenue streams from a wide range of sources including private sector collaborations, to make the projects self-sustaining in the future; as well as securing opportunities and partnerships to expand this positive work to other areas in the UK. Work on the ground will involve supporting and developing (directly and through the CAG teams) the activities of local communities and established community groups as well as developing further local action groups around waste, resources and related sustainability issues.

The Oxfordshire CAG project has been running for 15 years and is pioneering the community environmental sector nationally. The project is the largest local network of environmental groups in the UK with nearly 60 groups running 2,700 events per year attended by over 140,000 people. Our Resource Community Impact Tool (ResourceCIT) is used to collect data and to calculate outputs for the events and projects run by individual CAGs, which is used by them as evidence in funding bids and publicity. The CAG project in Devon was set up in 2016, with two on-the-ground staff working with local groups in and around Tiverton.

You should have a passion for working with community groups and enjoy the challenge of solving problems. Resource Futures is a B Corp certified company and we believe business can be a positive force for social and environmental improvement, if you share these values then we would love to hear from you.

The post holder will work 37.5 hours per week, predominantly based at County Hall in Oxford.
