Training: Helping in School

We have organised a Helping in School pathway, so we are running 4 Helping in a School taster (same taster, different venues), and 2 Introduction to Helping in a School course(same course, different time and venue, attached leaflets). Following the course, there will be a “Level 2 in Support Work in Schools”, from January.

1.       Helping in a School taster,
 
Discover how to support a child’s social and emotional development.
 
Timetable and venues: 4 taster sessions (to choose the most suitable time and venue)
 
1. Friday 3rd November. Cutteslowe Community Centre, 10:00 to 13:00
2. Tuesday 7th November. Rose Hill Community Centre, 10:00 to 13:00
3. Thursday 9th November. Blackbird Leys Community Centre, 10:00 to 13:00
4. Friday 10th November. The Venue@Cowley Community Centre, 10:00 to 13:00

2.       Introduction to Helping in a School course,
 
This is an exciting short course to explore: advice for helping in primary schools, the National Curriculum with a focus on literacy and numeracy, behaviour management, approaches to teaching and learning and supporting your child’s learning at home. Following the course, there will be a “Level 2 in Support Work in Schools” from January 2018.
 
Timetable and venues: 2 courses (to choose the most suitable time and venue)
 
1. Friday, 17th November to 15th December, 5 sessions at The Venue@Cowley Communi-ty Centre. 10:00 to 12:00
2. Monday, 20th November to 27th November, 2 sessions at Rose Hill Community Centre, 9:30 to 14:30
