Role summary: Healthwatch Oxfordshire, the county’s watchdog for health and social care, is recruiting two part- time Community Involvement Officers to join our small but perfectly formed staff team.
Community Involvement Officer Public – leading our outreach work, first point of contact with our volunteers, and developing our Young Healthwatch.
Community Involvement Officer Localities – a key role giving support to six Patient Participation Locality Forums and supporting the development of the county’s Patient Participation Groups.

Job description: The Community Involvement Officer (Localities) will provide support to the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group’s (OCCG) six locality forums and will work with each forum to support the development of the patient participation network in Oxfordshire. The aim of the locality forum is to ensure that the views, concerns, experiences and ideas of patients inform and influence OCCG commissioning and redesign of services.
The Community Involvement Officer – Public will develop and deliver a programme of outreach work, recruit, train and support volunteers, and lead on the development and delivery of Young Healthwatch.
