OCVA Charity Awards 2018 – winners

The Oxfordshire Charity & Volunteer Awards co-ordinated by OCVA were held last night and were a great success with 42 individual volunteers awards and 11 awards for community groups.  The awards were sponsored by a variety of companies and organisations, more details can be found here https://ocva.org.uk/sponsors-of-the-ocva-charity-and-volunteer-awards/

Winners:

ARCh won Charity of the Year 

  • Young Volunteer of the Year – Jackie Hibberd, Woodstock Youth Club
  • Long Service Award – Jean Mander, Thame Society for the Visually Impaired
  • Oxfordshire Volunteer of the Year – Nicky Kennedy, South Stoke Community Shop
  • Best New Group – Sanctuary Hosting
  • Environmental Award – Sustainable Didcot
  • Innovation Award -Makespace Oxford
  • Lifetime Achievement – The Gatehouse
  • Management of Volunteers – Home-Start Oxford
  • Working Together – Oxtalk working with Oxfordshire Association for the Blind
  • Best Group in Cherwell – The Sunshine Centre
  • Best Group in West Oxfordshire – Volunteer Link-Up
  • Best Group in South Oxfordshire – South Stoke Community Shop
  • Best Group in Vale of White Horse – The Abingdon Bridge.
