JOB VACANCY: Kennington Memory Club – Dementia Day Care Organiser and Deputy

 Kennington Memory Club – planned opening September 2018   Living well with Dementia

We are recruiting for a new service ….

Dementia Day Care, Organiser £10.40 per hour.

Deputy Organiser £8.88 per hour.

(Salary, based on 2 days per week, seven hours a day)

Two exciting job opportunities to help with and support  the development of a new service for local people with a diagnosis of dementia. The club will operate on Mondays and Thursdays and be located in Kennington Methodist Church.

The roles:

Organiser –  The management and support of a team comprising a Deputy and trained volunteers aiming to provide a friendly, safe and welcoming/supportive environment for club members and their carers.

Deputy Organiser – This will involve supporting the organiser in managing the Club and deputising as necessary.

About you: It will require enthusiasm, initiative and excellent communication and organisational skills, together with the ability to motivate and work as part of the team. Relevant qualifications or experience essential, preferably in working with dementia. Further training and supervision will be provided.

The role is subject to DBS certification. A current driving licence and access to a car is desirable.
