Daybreak Oxford – Director
Role summary: Daybreak Oxford provides Day Clubs in Oxfordshire for people living with a dementia. Daybreak operates three Day Clubs with the principal one at The Clockhouse in Blackbird Leys (Rosewood) and two others, one in North Oxford (Limes) and another in Kidlington (Lilacs). Our members can enjoy being in a safe, caring and stimulating environment with activities suited to their needs. The service also provides respite for the carers of our members. They can leave their loved ones with us, knowing they are looked after by trained and experienced staff who help them live well with their dementia.
Daybreak Oxford is a company limited by guarantee and has charitable status. The Trustees of the Charity delegate the day-to-day co-ordination, supervision and development of the Clubs to the Director. The relationship therefore between the Director, Trustees and staff is of crucial importance.
We are looking for someone with in depth knowledge and experience of dementia care to provide leadership to the staff who run our Clubs. The Director is the key link with Trustees, staff, volunteers, clients and partner agencies, providing strategic planning and effective internal and external communications.
