Team Oxford promotes volunteering for all: one-off, flexible, micro-volunteering that anybody can take part in and make a positive impact.
This December, Team Oxford is running Good Deed December – a month of one-off and flexible volunteering events celebrating community action and volunteering for all.
In advance of Good Deed December, we invite charities and community groups to consider their volunteer offer:
How can people get involved as volunteers?
What groups are you, and aren’t you, reaching?
Are there opportunities you could take to open volunteering up to a new audience?
This workshop will help attendees identify new ways to meet their needs and put together a one-off or flexible volunteering role with the aim of holding a flexible event during our Good Deed December celebrations.
The event will take place on Thursday November 8th from 9.30am to 12.30pm at OCVA, Floyds Row, St Aldates.
The event is free to attend: sign up online here! https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/good-deed-december-ideas-generation-workshop-tickets-49649454856
Last year, our sister event Actober saw a large group of charities and community groups put on events around the city for micro-volunteers and attendees, all coming together to make Oxford a happier, healthier, more connected city. We’d love to invite those who take part in the workshop to put on a Good Deed December event with our support, and the workshop will be focused on designing an event for the celebration.
If you’re interested in running a Good Deed December event but can’t make the workshop, please get in touch! We’d love to promote your work. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
