The Oxford Christmas Lunch – King’s Centre, Oxford

For the last two years a very special lunch has been held at the Kings Centre in Osney, Oxford, on Christmas Day. Volunteers and guests totalling more than 500 people sit down together to enjoy a feast of food, good company and gentle entertainment.

The Oxford Christmas Lunch will be happening again this year (2019). It is at The King’s Centre, Osney, OX20ES. Every year we provide a free three-course meal on Christmas Day for anyone who wants to come. Our attendees include the homeless, Syrian refugees, the elderly, those with mental health issues, those who would otherwise be alone, those in food poverty and simply those who want to celebrate Christmas with others. A special feature of our lunch is that volunteers collect the guests, drive them to the lunch, eat with them and take them home, thus providing companionship as well as food.

OCL has grown each year, and last year 150 volunteers served around 500 guests. To book a place or transport, contact Sara on 07535, or message us on Facebook @oxfordchristmaslunch. You can see a film of last year’s event on our Facebook page or by clicking this link:
