SODC Volunteering grants – first winner announced but you can still apply up until Jan 2019

South Oxfordshire District CouncilSouth Oxfordshire District Council are delighted to announce that one of the first of the new volunteering grants has gone to charity Enrych Oxfordshire. The £750 grant will help towards costs for four new volunteers to befriend and support physically disabled adults in South Oxfordshire.

Do you have volunteers who would like to help more, but the additional travel costs mean they can’t? Maybe they now need extra training to offer even more of their time?

Do you have a new volunteer driver but not the means to cover the extra insurance cost?

Is there a training course that your new volunteers need before they can help out?

Come and take a look at the volunteering grant scheme. Just one hour of application time.

This scheme is open to small voluntary, community and social enterprise groups operating in South Oxfordshire. Eligible organisations can apply for a grant from £250 to a maximum of £750.

The scheme closes in January 2019, so apply soon. It could be just what you are looking for!
