BBC Radio Oxford – ‘Shout Out Oxfordshire’, your chance to make a community appeal

November 29, 2018

BBC Radio Oxford is looking for local people who might like to make a community appeal to our listeners through our feature called ‘Shout Out Oxfordshire’. So far we have given over 20 community groups, clubs, charities, etc. the chance to make a 45 second appeal to our listeners, free of charge, which was repeated at least three times a day for two weeks, and went on the BBC Radio Oxford webpage for a month. They have been used to ask for more members and volunteers, donations of items, skills and time, more people to use a community service, and other things, but not for political use or to ask directly for money.

If you would like more details of how to take part, please email Mark Watson with some basic info about the appeal (including any deadline), or if you know someone else who might like to have a go, please forward this information on to them. The poster (on the right and link below) we would like to get up on community notice boards and in village/community halls around Oxfordshire. If you are able to help, please print off and pin them up somewhere where others may be able to see them and make use of this offer, or perhaps publish a copy in your local newsletter.
