Chair of Trustees

Citizens Advice West Oxfordshire (CAWO) is a charity serving the needs of our local community by providing free, confidential and independent advice to help people overcome their problems. We have 69 Volunteers and 23 paid staff who worked tirelessly in 2017/18 to deliver advice to 5,300 clients on 17,300 issues ranging from benefits and tax credits to debt, housing and employment.

  • We are looking for people with strategic vision, independent judgement and a willingness to give time and commitment to being a Trustee.
  • We are particularly interested in talking to people with specific skills and experience – including legal, property management, fund-raising, knowledge of local Government and business / strategy planning.
  • The post of Trustee is unpaid but will provide you a great deal of experience and satisfaction. All reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
  • We are particularly keen to achieve a more diverse board of Trustees and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
