Tesco’s Bags of Help is perhaps the most well-known grant scheme originating from the 5p carrier bag levy, and since it was launched has gifted over £67m to over 21,000 community projects in local communities in England, Scotland and Wales.
To mark their Centenary, Tesco have also announced a Tesco Bags of Help Centenary Grant Fund for 2019.
Wider-reaching community projects which bring benefits to communities across regions are invited to apply for the vote which will provide increased grant amounts across larger regions. The customer vote will take place in Tesco stores throughout the UK, in July/August and again with a second round in November/December 2019. The project that receives the most votes in the voting region will receive a grant of up to £25,000, second place receiving up to £15,000 and third place up to £10,000.
The grant has now gone live and is open to applications, full information on the link below;
