Part-time Family Co-ordinator Vacancy
FLEXIBLE PART-TIME ROLE with dynamic charity that provides vital support to vulnerable parents and children. We’re seeking a skilled professional, experienced in supporting families, working with volunteers and running groups.
Deadline – Midday, Tuesday 4th June 2019
Home-Start Oxford supports families with young children through home visiting. We train volunteers to work with families who are experiencing stressful or demanding situations, are ‘hard to reach’ or isolated.
National Lottery Reaching Communities funding is now enabling us to extend our reach in the City and West Oxfordshire, and enhance our support for perinatal mental health through group work.
This is an opportunity to work as part of a growing, friendly team, taking responsibility for assessing families’ needs and matching them with volunteers, recruiting, training and supervising volunteers, and liaising with referrers and local partners. You will manage your own caseload of families, with a variety of needs, and be involved in the running of family group sessions.
We want to hear from you, if you have:
– An understanding of vulnerable families’ needs
– Experience of working with volunteers
– Experience of supporting families
– Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
– Good communication, networking and IT skills
– Experience running groups
We are committed to equality of opportunity and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults. We expect all employees to share this commitment. We ensure that our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.
This post is subject to a criminal records check through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Applicants must have use of their own car, for which expenses will be paid.
