JOB VACANCY: Healthwatch – Community Information Officer – Action Research

Role summary: We want someone who specialises in action research to join our small but perfectly formed staff team based in Witney. Healthwatch Oxfordshire is the county’s watchdog for health and social care.
You would be working as a member of a team developing and delivering a rolling programme of action research. The aim of which is to gather information from the public about their experiences of mental health services and social care services in Oxfordshire. You would ensure that the information gathered is compiled, analysed and reported on in a manner that enables effective decision making and/or can be passed to relevant commissioners and providers to stimulate change.
The salary is £28,634 pro rata for a 23-hour week over three days, this role is fixed term for one year. We may consider applicants who wish to work on a self-employed fee basis.

Job description: To support Healthwatch Oxfordshire’s focus on mental health by:
• Working as a member of the team to develop and deliver a rolling programme of action research to gather information from the public about their experiences of mental health services and social care
• Ensure information gathered from this listening infrastructure is compiled, analysed and reported on to the Executive Director and Board in a manner that enables effective decision making and/or can be passed to relevant commissioners and providers to stimulate change.
• Work closely with other members of the Healthwatch Oxfordshire Team on all projects when required
