Trustees Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference. Trustees are the people in charge of a charity. They help to make the UK the sixth most giving country in the world. They play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about a charity’s work.
Trustees Week is from 4th – 8th November 2019 and here are links to some useful information:
The Association of Chairs – the national body for chairs of charities https://www.associationofchairs.org.uk/ This gives access both to training sessions and to very good downloadable resources. There is a specific national programme running currently to support the chairs of small charities.
OCVA is holding an Open Afternoon on the following Tuesday 12th of November from 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm.
