Funding: Paul Hamlyn Foundation – Youth Fund for age range 14 – 25

January 9, 2020

Overview of the Youth Fund

The Youth Fund supports organisations whose main purpose is to help young people (aged 14-25) who face complex transitions to adulthood. We concentrate our support on those experiencing the most challenging circumstances: young people who are socially excluded or marginalised, whose experiences are often hidden or less well known, and whose voices are often erased or ignored. We fund work with young people that starts by recognising and building on their strengths, and potential – we refer to this as an asset-based approach.

Organisations must meet the following criteria:

  • Work in the UK
  • Work at either local, regional or national levels, or at more than one level
  • Support young people aged 14-25
  • Not-for-profit
  • Provide direct services or second-tier support

Type of support: Funding for core operating costs to help grow an organisation’s impact

Size of grant: Between £30,000 and £60,000

Duration: 2 years, with the possibility of renewal in some cases

Grants awarded per year: Around 30

Application deadline: Rolling application cycle – no deadlines
