OSCB – Temporary Guidance on Safeguarding Training

April 2, 2020

The OSCB has recently taken the decision to cancel all face to face courses on a temporary basis. We are aware that potentially this could lead to the situation where some practitioners may be left without the necessary mandatory training to have contact with children and young people.

We are now in a position to publish the attached ‘Temporary Guidance’ for practitioners and their managers; this guidance will be in place until we are able to recommence face to face training again. It will also be available on the OSCB website.

Please note that the ‘Awareness of Child Abuse and Neglect’ eLearning course is available now and the temporary ‘Advanced / DSL Level 3 eLearning training (Covid-19 package’) will be available from 08.04.2020.

If there are any questions, please email them into the OSCB’s training team via OSCB.Training@Oxfordshire.gov.uk
