Step Out is a well-respected, grass roots voluntary sector service, experts in working with young people who are at risk of, victims or survivors of Child Sexual Exploitation and are part Donnington Doorstep, an organisation with over 33 years’ experience within our community.
Our current funding streams have enabled us to further develop, expand and consolidate The Step Out project, to broaden its remit to respond to Child Exploitation, supporting the Oxfordshire County response, whilst applying learning from our expertise in Child Sexual Exploitation, ensuring that a contextual safeguarding approach is applied.
We deliver one to one case work and bespoke group work for children and young people aged up to 25 who are at risk, victims or are survivors of Child Exploitation. We also provide an advocacy and ambassador service, support for professionals and family support. The Step Out project sits alongside Donnington Doorstep’s other services that provide support for families, children and young people.
Step Out Child Exploitation Project Worker – Funded until August 2022
21 hrs per week
The Child Exploitation Project worker post will focus on delivering child centred, relational one to one support for Children and Young People, delivering bespoke group work to Children, Young People and Parents and delivering training to Professionals. The post holder will be integral in the ongoing development of the Child Exploitation agenda across the county working with a range of professionals from both the voluntary and the statutory sector and supporting the project manager in the evolution of Step Out’s work with Boys and Young Men.
