JOB VACANCY: Oxfordshire Youth – Youth Work Apprentice

The Youth Work Apprentices would work across Oxfordshire, gaining face to face experience in a range of youth work settings, offering a really varied and exciting youth work apprenticeship experience.
We are looking for enthusiastic people, who are willing to learn, try new things and with a commitment to social change.

Job location (usual place of work): Oxfordshire

Pay rate: 19 – 20 years old and in the first year or 16 – 18 years old £4.40 an hour, 19 – 20 years old in second year £6.70 an hour.

Job description: Oxfordshire Youth is pleased to be able to offer a two-year apprenticeship opportunity to two people. The Youth Work Apprentices will join the Partnership Team to enhance youth work support for existing youth groups in the county and will gain a Level 3 Diploma in Youth Work.
The Youth Work Apprentices would work across Oxfordshire, gaining face to face experience in a range of youth work settings, offering a really varied and exciting youth work apprenticeship experience. In year one you will gain training in Safeguarding, Principles of Youth Work, First Aid at Work, Understanding Challenging Behaviours and Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health.
We are looking for enthusiastic people, who are willing to learn and try new things. These roles will enable more young people to benefit from good quality youth work in their local community. Together with colleagues from the Partnership Team, the Youth Work Apprentices will work with 300 young people, inspire young people into leadership roles in their communities and promote Youth Voice opportunities within Oxfordshire Youth whilst using their own voice to shape and the
influence the work of OY.
