Role summary: A leadership role in a small charity with big ambitions. We work in partnership with farms and other rural locations to run a day service which provides purposeful activities for people with learning disabilities and autism (our co-farmers). You would help us to grow and expand our impact by: building on current relationships and establishing new partnerships with rural outreach locations; supporting and increasing our team of staff (currently 5) and volunteers; and helping us to fund and create innovative programmes to enable our co-farmers to progress whilst preserving our ethos and focus on the individual.
Job location (usual place of work): Blenheim Estate and other Oxfordshire-based farms, estates and green spaces.
Pay rate: £35,000 – £40,000 FTE, dependent on experience. Approx 30-37.5 hrs, 4 or 5 days/week TBA

Job description: The Director is responsible for ensuring the success, sustainability and growth of FarmAbility for the benefit of co-farmers through implementing an effective programme and fundraising strategy, and engaging staff and volunteers in working well towards programme outcomes. We are looking for someone with leadership experience, a good strategic thinker with fundraising success who can ensure our programme achieves strong outcomes for co-farmers’ well-being and skills development. We are looking for someone with the confidence and enthusiasm to develop the programme and create more opportunities for new co-farmers to benefit from farm-based programmes.
