Brilliant news, the South Councillor Grant Scheme is now open for applications from non-profit community organisations and town and parish councils whose primary purpose is to benefit the residents of South Oxfordshire.
Each South Oxfordshire district councillor has £5,000 to award to projects or services that offer community benefits in their ward area.
This year we are particularly keen to fund projects that support the SODC’s Corporate Plan priorities (2020-2024) in particular; to protect and restore our natural world; action on the climate emergency and improved economic and community well-being.
Applications should focus on projects that deliver a clear and demonstrable benefit to the people of South Oxfordshire, specifically in the ward of the district councillor(s) considering the request.
If you have a project in mind, get in touch with your local councillor first to talk through your ideas and then submit an online application via our website.
Please visit the website to view the guidance for the scheme https://www.southoxon.gov.uk/south-oxfordshire-district-council/community-support/grants/councillor-community-grants/
The scheme closes Friday 5 February 2021 (noon) or when all the budget has been allocated. So, we encourage you to submit your application soon.
