We are very grateful to Barclays for their support which has enabled this grant round. This is a very specific fund, with the aim of supporting farming and rural communities to cope with the impact of Covid-19, to expand on new services that have emerged to support the local community during this time and to build future resilience.
We are looking for applications for projects in economically deprived rural areas which will
deliver vital community services to those areas. Projects should build on the community’s
responses to the Covid-19 pandemic and must show how they are contributing to the
resilience of the community. Examples could include but are not limited to: rolling out longer
term food and medicine delivery services; formalising social groups or community ‘friend’
networks to support isolated people; or offering mental health support. We will be looking for
projects which strengthen the sense of community.
Applications are encouraged from properly constituted, community-led organisations with a
turnover under £500k per year, which can demonstrate how beneficiaries will be drawn from
the local rural community.
We are looking for applications from communities with a population of up to 3,000 residents.
If you are a rural project with a population in excess of 3,000, please email us at
firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your project.
