NHS – Covid vaccinations for voluntary group staff and volunteers providing direct face to face health and care support

February 15, 2021

Calling all staff and volunteers from third sector and charity organisations who provide direct face to face health and care support to Oxfordshire residents to book an appointment for the covid vaccine. This is intended for those staff and volunteers in organisations providing health and care support, for whom receiving the vaccination would protect their vulnerable clients and service users.

We would also like to ask local faith groups to raise awareness of this message to ensure residents from BAME communities are confident in taking up the offer of a vaccine.

To arrange an appointment at a Vaccination Centre visit www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination, where you can choose a time slot and location that suits you.  Whilst there are other locations available, the vaccination site within Oxfordshire is at the Kassam stadium. Staff and volunteers are reminded to bring organisational ID with them when attending for their appointment.

People should try to use the website where possible. For those who can’t, you can call 119 free of charge, anytime between 7am and 11pm seven days a week. The phone line can get very busy, so people may prefer to ring later in the day when it is less busy. British Sign Language, text relay and interpreter services are available.
