Oxfordshire YouthRole summary: The YPSA Manager will be responsible for ensuring Progression Coaches provide an exceptional standard of coaching, youth work support to young people both within their homes and within their community setting.

We have ambitious targets for young people’s outcomes and the YPSA Manager will be driven to help achieve our vision that young people in the YPSA grow to see themselves, and be seen as, future change makers.

Job location (usual place of work): Oxfordshire

Pay rate: £25,801 rising to £30,507 1st October 2021

Job description: Oxfordshire Youth and Response have a bold new vision for this service; to provide aspirational coaching support alongside high quality temporary housing where young people feel safe and are supported to develop healthy and positive bonds with their housemates.

The YPSA Manager will ensure all Progression Coaches will receive high quality training to ensure they feel confident and motivated to help build skills in emotional literacy, life skills, emotional regulation, physical wellbeing, financial empowerment, creativity and group skills. Youth work principles of reflective practice, active listening and co-design will drive your work ethic.

Youth work approaches will be adopted by the Oxfordshire Youth YPSA team. This means you will ensure;
1. Progression Coaches listen to, and are led by, the needs, ambitions and assets of the young person
2. Progression Coaches will support young people with learning the skills needed to design their roadmap to personal growth
3. Being above all else, Progression Coaches are a reliable, consistent and aspirational role model for these young people, who expertly practice clear and professional boundaries.

Oxfordshire Youth have a bold new vision for this service; all YPSA team members will receive high quality training to ensure they feel confident and motivated to help build an excellent service. YPSA Manager’s will attend up to date training in emotional literacy, emotional regulation, physical wellbeing, financial empowerment, creativity and group skills.
