You can now feedback on planned improvements to the A40 between Witney and north Oxford. The investment programme will deliver greater travel choice, make journeys safer and improve reliability – all of which will contribute to supporting the local area with jobs and economic growth.
The proposals include the upgrade of the road from the east of Witney to the Eynsham park and ride, and integrated east and west bus lanes from the park and ride to north Oxford, with improved routes for pedestrians and cyclists. This is together with improvements to the existing junction at Shores Green.
Oxfordshire County Council want to hear what you think about these plans, to help inform the next phase of design.
You will need to feedback on the schemes separately, but you can access them both through oxfordshire.gov.uk/a40improvements. The feedback period has been extended to 23.59pm on 7 June 2021.
- The Access to Witney exhibition: https://consultations.oxfordshire.gov.uk/AccesstoWitney/consultationHome explains how improvements to the Shores Green junction will improve access to the town centre and reduce congestion in the area.
