Including Everyone – Sight loss and Visual Impairment

As part of our ongoing commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion across the voluntary and community sector we’re excited to introduce a new monthly event called Including Everyone. These bite sized sessions will run from 12-1 and will take a practical approach to each of the protected characteristics as we seek to make Oxfordshire the best place for everyone to work, volunteer or access services.

For our first session we’re delighted to be joined by Mark Upton and Margaret Simpson. Mark is CEO of Oxfordshire Association for the Blind and he’ll be talking about the role of lived experience in leadership and providing some top tips for making your group or organisation (digitally and face to face) a welcoming and accessible place for anyone with sight loss. Margaret will then tell us about OxTalk – Oxfordshire’s talking newspaper – and a great example of an inclusive service.

It will be on Tuesday 22nd June 2021 from 12 – 1 and will be an online session using zoom.
