If you are interested in learning how to make professional quality video on your smartphone, this opportunity might be of interest! This is a free, in-person training over five days giving in-depth video production skills, all using you iPhone or android. It is being offered at no cost to people working or volunteering for charities or community groups.
It is offered by John Dixon, founder of training company Brightest Bulb and a volunteer with OCF. I attended his training several years ago and he has mentored me in video production since then. He has a career as a documentary film-maker behind him and is one of the most inspiring tutors I’ve ever met!
The course is at the City of Oxford College from 16th to 20th August, 10.00am to 5.00pm. There is no cost for the course, but delegates will need to purchase two apps, a smartphone video cage, a mini tripod, a clip-mic and extension cable. The approximate cost in total is £70.00, but that kit is needed when you have completed the training and returned to the workplace.
Clients that Brightest Bulb has trained in their iDEC smartphone video foundation course include the UK and Scottish governments, Barclays, BMW, Mitsubishi, Essex and Worcestershire County Councils, Clarins, Porsche and the Institute of Apprenticeships.
