We are delighted to advertise this exciting post for a Deputy Manager as part of our expanding Safe Haven Team making a real contribution to transforming mental health services by offering out of hours support to adults experiencing mental health crisis in Oxfordshire. The post will support Safe Haven Managers in development of Safe Haven across the Oxfordshire and focus on delivery of the service with particular emphasis on the current existing projects in Oxford and Banbury. The role will be split between frontline service delivery and contributing to management of the team.

You must be an excellent team player and have experience of supporting others in mental crisis. You will work closely alongside Safe Haven Managers and a Deputy who have a broad range of experience between them and support each other well. The successful candidate will work day and evening shift pattern across the week including weekends and Bank Holidays.

Purpose of the Job
Jointly with other Safe Haven Managers, the post holder will coordinate and lead the expansion and delivery of effective crisis alternatives in Oxfordshire. The Deputy Manager will provide support and line management supervision to a number of Oxford Safe Haven Workers and will deputise for the Oxford Safe Haven manager when they are not on shift or during periods of leave. The role will be split between frontline service delivery and contributing to management of the team.
Safe Haven offers same day support for those who struggle with their mental health and feel they are reaching a breaking point. People can self-refer or be referred by a professional to get an appointment for one-to-one support face to face or on the phone, or access activities in a calming and supportive environment with the purpose of grounding or refocusing. The goal is to support people in creating and following safety plans, developing new coping strategies and ability to use support available to them. Safe Haven in Oxford is open seven days a week, with the aim of hours being 12am-10pm (2 shifts). Safe Haven in Banbury is open Friday – Monday 6pm-10pm
