PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Volunteering Facilitator is responsible for supporting the Oxfordshire Mind Volunteering programme, under the direction of the Volunteering Coordinator. This includes recruitment, training, supervision and development of all types of volunteers within the organisation. Oxfordshire Mind has a broad range of volunteer roles, including Peer Support Volunteers, who are people with direct personal experience of mental health conditions who use this in their volunteer role. Volunteering is a vital part of Oxfordshire Mind’s work and can bring important wellbeing and recovery benefits for volunteers. The post holder will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain a high-quality and agile service.

HOURS: 22.5 hours per week
SALARY: NJC salary point SCP 11-18 (£22,129 – £25,419)
CONTRACT: Permanent
BASE:  Home working initially, then based in Osney Mead, Oxford, with travel across localities
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Volunteering Coordinator
DIRECT REPORTS: None
PROBATIONARY PERIOD: 6 months
HOLIDAY: 28 days per annum pro-rated, plus bank holidays
PENSION: Auto-enrolment scheme in place
