Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action (OCVA) and Charity Mentors Oxfordshire have come together to provide a ‘First Stop’ service for charity leaders. Offering monthly one-to-one slots for charity leaders to talk in complete confidence about any challenges they are facing. Charity leaders includes – trustees, senior managers or chief executives.
Leading an organisation in the voluntary sector can feel a stressful task, even when surrounded by a committed and collaborative team. Between us, we can help with everything from small but unexpected operational decisions, to major strategic decisions involving the long-term future of the charity.
There is high quality support for leaders facing these situations and First Stop aims to work with you to identify how best to access this help. The solution might come from some training, help with policies, or even from your own personal mentor to help work through the more challenging, strategic thinking.
We want to make it easier for Oxfordshire’s charity and community leaders to find the most appropriate sources of help.
You can book a confidential slot (to be held on zoom) with Angela Cristofoli, Business Development Officer of OCVA and Laura Howdill, Executive Director of Charity Mentors. Together, we will help you unpick your challenges (which can be good or bad) and think through some appropriate next steps. We can also assist in signposting you on to other appropriate support organisations including Oxfordshire Community Foundation (OCF) and Community First Oxfordshire (CFO).
Sessions are planned for:
Wed 16th Feb

Wed 27th April
Times available: 10am, 11am, 12pm.
