Membership Renewal Notice 2022-2023

Dear OCVA Member,

Thank you for being part of Oxfordshire’s incredible community this past year. 2021/22 didn’t end up being any easier than 2020/21, despite what any of us might have hoped. As individuals and organisations, you have managed exhaustion, lockdowns, ‘hybrid’ working, home-schooling and mental health. Your creativity and resilience have shone through and we at OCVA are so proud of all you have achieved, on behalf of your teams and your volunteers and of course the communities and people you work with and support.

As we move into 2022/23 we will be working hard to support you in the areas you have told us you need help, such as volunteering, where we’ll be investing in extra capacity and looking at new and innovative ways to ensure that collectively we can meet the challenges ahead.

Here are a few of our proud highlights from 2021/22

·     A refreshed website and more engaged presence on social media, making us easier to connect with

·     Delivered 40 training courses to 456 attendees

·     Delivered the Supporting Communities Through Covid scheme in partnership with Community First Oxfordshire, distributing £250,000 in grant funding to grassroots organisations alongside a yearlong package of community development training and support

·     Integrated with Oxfordshire All In’s dynamic collaborative system work

·     Registered 737 opportunities on Oxfordshire Volunteers and signed up 833 new volunteers

·     Continued our role as a key partner shaping the BOB VCSE Health Alliance, making sure that Oxfordshire organisations are well informed and connected to the changing system

·     Launched the ‘First Stop’ service in partnership with Charity Mentors

·     Launched the Oxfordshire Chairs’ Network

·     Continued to play a key role in developing a VCS Coalition for Oxfordshire

·     Launched a network of Communities of Practice to support Oxfordshire’s vision for Adult Social Care

We’re on a journey of change and we want you, our members to help us build that change, so that OCVA is the best kind of organisation to meet the needs of the people and communities of Oxfordshire. Can you take 5 minutes to complete our Building Change survey

We look forward to continuing to work with you and for you.

Laura Price CEO   &     David Agnew  Chair of Trustees
