JOB VACANCY: Elmore – Domestic Abuse Team Manager

May 11, 2022

We are recruiting a new Domestic Abuse Team Manager (37.5 hrs per week) to oversee our innovative domestic abuse services working in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council (OCC). As part of the Family Solutions Plus model we offer a range of interventions to meet the needs of parents affected by domestic abuse. We support both victim/survivors and perpetrators of abuse with a range of one-to-one and peer group support, which aims to increase the safety and wellbeing of children (and the whole family), under children’s social care.

The post holder will have responsibility for the everyday management of our domestic abuse team of victim/survivor and perpetrator caseworkers.  You will lead and support the team to provide a range of high quality and effective interventions to meet our client’s needs.  This will require providing supervision and leadership for our team of caseworkers, and coordination and representation of our team within OCC and with external DA partners. As part of our wider management team, you will also support the development of our brief intervention services and the wider organisation.

We are looking for candidates who have experience of empowering individuals to make positive changes to their lives in a domestic abuse context and are passionate about improving and developing services to meet need. You should bring experience of working collaboratively in a multi-agency environment and be a skilled communicator able to develop relationships with a range of partners. You should also be confident with safeguarding, risk management and safety planning. The successful candidate will have a flexible, empathic and enthusiastic approach and enjoy problem-solving in a busy environment.

Elmore Community Services works with people with complex needs and mental ill health who do not easily fit into the remit of agencies in Oxfordshire. We work directly with people falling through the gaps of existing services, supporting them to tackle their problems, improve their lives, and feel part of their communities. Assertive outreach and a team approach lie at the heart of our work.
