Job description: Restore is ambitious to raise more money through community fundraising activities and events. We are looking for a part-time enthusiastic fundraiser to work as part of our Fundraising and Communications team This is an opportunity to use your first class organisational skills and sociable personality in a key fundraising role for a renowned and well-regarded Charity.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Communications, this role will enable Restore to raise the money that it depends on to run recovery, coaching, and training services, and support people with mental ill-health to get better and find employment. Working closely with the Volunteering team, members (service users), staff, and Restore’s partners, this role requires the ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Experience of working with volunteers or as a volunteer is desirable.

The post has the following main responsibilities: ● Achievement of ambitious but viable fundraising and performance targets by building relationships and exploring new fundraising opportunities. ● Supporter care for individuals, employers, community groups, and Charity Partners who act as our donors, fundraisers, and supporters ● Support, develop, and inspire volunteers and fundraising groups to ensure our fundraising activity is as effective as possible in achieving the maximum income in our area for local campaigns. This would include inducting, training, and overseeing volunteers ● Seamless delivery of a calendar of planned community fundraising activities ● Enthusiastic representation of Restore at public events and activities, helping to raise awareness of our work, values, and goals. More specifically, the job entails: ● Proactively planning and successfully delivering a calendar of activities and events within Restore ● Generating leads within the local community, and researching fundraising opportunities. ● Reacting to external opportunities to represent and promote our work ● Promoting activities by updating Restore’s website, social media accounts, internal newsletter, and e-newsletter. ● Proactively working in Oxfordshire to foster and retain supporters and fundraisers ● Providing ongoing support and motivation to a network of fundraising groups doing external fundraising within the local community to raise funds for Restore ● Development of relationships with companies of all sizes and types to generate income and promote Restore ● Leading and supporting the delivery of Restore’s annual Elder Stubbs Festival ● Providing excellent supporter care and encouragement to fundraisers and donors through telephone, email, social media and printed communications, including thank you letters, and e-newsletters ● Sourcing in-kind donations and prizes from local businesses, people, and groups ● Supporting Restore members (service users) and former members to fundraise or be involved in Restore’s activities and events ● Keeping up-to-date and accurate records of fundraisers, donors and supporters on Donor Perfect ● Delivering reports and presentations as and when required ● Responding to press enquiries with support of Head of Fundraising and Communications ● Increase the marketing and promotion of Restore’s online fundraising pages ● Ensuring that all digital and print collateral is correctly branded and marketed, helping us to maintain our brand guidelines and improve our recognition in the county.

General Responsibilities ● To demonstrate commitment to Restore’s aims and values, addressing race, culture, gender, class, disability, sexual orientation, age and other discrimination in relation to mental health issues ● To work closely with other Restore staff, volunteers, and members ● To work within the agreed boundaries of confidentiality ● To fully participate in, and make use of, staff and team meetings and Supervision ● To assist in other areas of Restore’s work when appropriate ● To undertake any other duties as may be required by Restore. Person Specification – Essential Requirements ● Good general standard of education ● Willing to be flexible on working arrangements, including working outside regular office hours (on evenings and weekend, for which all hours worked outside of normal working hours are reimbursed as time in lieu) ● Organised about the planning of a calendar of events and the events themselves ● Supportive to volunteers who are giving their time to work for Restore ● Build and sustain positive relationships and high value partnerships with individuals, community groups, members, and volunteers ● Able to speak publicly on behalf of Restore and promote our work ● Passionate about ending mental health stigma ● Enthusiastic about working with others and taking part in publicly facing events ● Creative and excited to offer new ideas for involving communities in fundraising ● Research and problem solving skills, ability to think critically and act quickly ● Ability to think logically, use initiative, and work without supervision to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results ● Excellent time management skills, organised and able to deliver events and activities on time and to target ● Works well with others, including volunteers, fundraisers, and recovery groups, and is positive within shared work spaces ● Awareness of Data Protection regulations ● IT Literacy – must have demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Office software, and using Gmail.

Person Specification – Desirable Requirements ● Experience of community fundraising ● Experience of event and activity coordination ● Experience of supporting and potentially managing volunteers ● Experience of working in a small- or medium-sized charity ● Experience of working on mental health, including ending stigma and raising awareness ● Knowledge of website content management ● Experience of using Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, and DreamWeaver). ● A full driver’s license, access to a car, and/or willing to travel within Oxfordshire ● You’ll be a ‘people person’ and enjoy building rapport with both individuals and groups.

Other work related criteria: Any offer of employment is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service. There is a probation period of six months for new employees, during which time performance is monitored. Employment will be subject to the completion of a probationary period to the satisfaction of Restore. About Restore Restore provides a structured environment for people with mental ill health – many of whom join our organisation later – to build relationships and learn productive skills including gardening, woodwork, crafts, cooking, and serving the public in our cafes or shops. Each area of work enables members to grow in confidence as they build transferable skills and prepare for the world of work. We’re part of the Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership. We work alongside five other support agencies in the new Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership (OMHP), our unique model of recovery and coaching for employment complementing the services of our partners working in housing, benefits, caring, addictions and health. Ours is a well-respected and cost-effective service part-funded by NHS England to support people recovering from severe and enduring mental ill health (categorised by the NHS as Clusters 4-17) and improving their employment prospects. This leaves Restore with the need to raise a substantial amount of income from grant-making bodies and community fundraising events and activities. Restore provides a Coaching Service and Recovery Groups. Coaching provides one-to-one support enabling members (service users) to achieve their aims. Restore’s coaching service focuses on supporting people to achieve paid work, after a period of illness, to start volunteering or start or return to education. Recovery Groups provide members with the opportunity to work on their journey of recovery together. Restore also acts as the lead organisation for the Partnership, managing The Oxfordshire Recovery College, an innovative shared learning environment for people with mental illnesses, their families and carers and professionals working in the field. Restore also offers Mental Health First Aid training and Working with Mental Health, the former aimed at individuals and organisations, the latter aimed at large corporations.
