Jenny Bowley – Volunteering Development Officer
I am excited to be joining OCVA at a time when Oxfordshire’s Volunteering Vision is being revisited and renewed. I bring with me a career in youth and community spanning 20 years including experience in leading volunteers in a variety of settings. I look forward to working with groups and users to set up and support volunteering and running OCVA’s Volunteer Coordinators Forum. I will be looking at the Oxfordshire Vision for Volunteering and developing how we support the sector.
What drew me to OCVA
It’s great to be involved with an organisation which has the county’s voluntary sector at its heart.
Best OCVA moment
It’s very exciting to be welcomed to a warm and enthusiastic team.
Outside of work
Here are two of things that make Jenny happy outside work:
- Visiting historical sites and landmarks- highlights from the last year include St Michaels Mount and Corsham Court
- Feeding the birds and hedgehogs that visit her garden, and using conkers to wash her laundry
In the next few months I hope to meet many of you either virtually or in person, so do get in touch if you would like to discuss any volunteering needs or ideas you have: jenny.bowley@ocva.org.uk
