This free 10-day training programme will bring together an intergenerational group of people, 16-25 years, and over 50’s to work with a digital artist to create a short film about the experiences of the African Caribbean Community ‘going out’ in Oxford during the 1960’s and 70’s.
You will have the opportunity to learn new skills – video, photography, audio, and graphics. You will also learn how to research and gather archive material. No experience is necessary as you will get clear and simple training throughout.
The programme is funded by the Heritage Lottery fund and is free to participants.
It runs every Tuesday and Thursday for 5 weeks (no course during half term) at the Film Oxford Studios. 54 Catherine Street, Oxford. OX4 3AH (10.00am – 3.30pm) and starts on Tuesday 3rd October 2023 and finishes on Thursday 9th November 2023.
