Attendees at the Because Talking Matters group recently enjoyed some Boccia fun!
Boccia is a Paralympic team sport where players throw, kick or use a ramp to propel a ball, with the aim of getting it closest to a ‘jack’. Introduced by Troy from Age UK Oxfordshire, the session gave older residents at Bicester East Community Centre a chance to try this fun game.
With lots of willing players taking part, the match was very closely fought but everyone agreed it injected a lot of fun into the activity! And as it was Easter they were rewarded with some tasty hot cross buns to take home.

Funded by Connected Communities, Because Talking Matters recently celebrated its first anniversary. The group is growing steadily and open to anyone aged over 50 and adults with additional needs.
