FUNDING: Cherwell Community Food Grant

Cherwell District Council is offering grants of up to £2,000 to support organisations helping to provide food or develop community food activities across Cherwell.

This could include projects focused on cooking, growing food, nutrition or food education, where the activity links to the Cherwell Food Action Plan. Applications will be assessed against the plan’s priorities, as well as the number of people who will benefit and the expected impact.

How to apply

Applications are open now and close at 11:59am on Sunday 2 August 2026. Eligible applicants include constituted community groups, registered charities, community interest companies and voluntary organisations with appropriate policies, insurance and a bank account. Successful applicants will be notified within three weeks of the closing date. For full eligibility details, terms and conditions, and to apply, visit the Cherwell District Council website.
