Oxfordshire’s councils are changing and by April 2028 the county council and districts will be replaced by three new local authorities.
As we prepare for that change, Oxfordshire County Council wants to hear from the voluntary and community sector about how we can best work together as we head into Local Government Reorganisation.
They’re exploring a few new ways of working, including a possible consortium model, where grant funding for some prevention focused services could be distributed through a shared structure across the sector, rather than many separate individual grants. The aim is less duplication, more collaboration, and easier access to funding, especially for smaller and grassroots groups.
