Do you want to develop your Microsoft Excel skills? Would you like to make your work more efficient through the use of formulas and formatted spreadsheets?

This interactive and practical course introduces participants to the advanced techniques and how these can be used to enhance your work. This course is ideal for those who have experience of using Excel, but would like a more in-depth knowledge of how to use spreadsheets more efficiently. By the end of the course, learners will be able to use conditional formulae to analyse data, understand techniques to summarise data and know how to look up information and values.

Learners will leave with a USB drive containing a handout and exercises to practice outside the classroom.

What will I learn?

By the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Use conditional formulae
  • Use Vlookup/Hlookup to look up information
  • Use pivot tables and pivot charts to summarise data
  • Use goal seek to meet a set value

Trainer Profile

Mary Thomas has been training and consulting with businesses of all sizes since 2009 in the uses and implementation of social media and digital marketing. She has written and delivers accredited social media and digital marketing qualifications for City & Guilds as well as being a published author and public speaker.
